Hi

I've recently begun using Revolution and have to say I'm deeply impressed.
However, one problem that's raised its head is how my applications interact
with the printer.

One of the feature I liked about developing platforms such as Visual Basic
and RealBasic is that they allowed the user to interact with the printer
through a printer object, thus allowing the user greater flexibility and
control over their printing options. However, I have so far been unable to
find an equivalent in Revolution - what am I doing wrong? I can talk to the
printer through the 'answer printer' command, but I do not seem able to have
the same results or success using the printer properties.

The situation is particularly difficult when trying to talk to our Xerox DP
N2125 SP3 laser printer. Therefore, when I try to make it accept an A6 label
by setting the printPaperSize to the right values, it asks for paper from
the letter Manual Feeder and then throws up an error when I try to feed an
A6 label through. Using 'answer printer', however, and setting the paper in
the dialog box works fine.

Is there anyway I can send a size change request through to the printer
without having to go via the answer printer command? Furthermore, is there
any way I can access the printer via an object so I can save important
details such as the orientation, paper type, and so on?

Thanks for your time.
