My first 'commercial' app (ie I got paid for developing it), a specialist
publishing tool - is in use, the client has already published a dozen mini
projects with it. They're very pleased; we delivered the whole project, of
which creating this tool was a large part, for some $70,000 less than they'd
originally been quoted. However, it isn't exactly complete; there are still
items on their snagging list, some of which I'm hoping that the next version
of Rev might help me deliver (better clipboard support; consistent launching
of web pages on Windows machines; FTP access,....).
But inside our company at least, this is definitely counted as a Revolution
success story, and several of my colleagues have now obtained Standard
licenses, and started working with Rev, at least one developing an app which
will eventually be delivered to the client.
