REALbasic and Revolution are both so deep that you could compare them for a year and
still not be done. My point is that if you choose a small project that contains a few
of the features you're looking for, you'll get a good quick impression of how easy it
is to do the things you are likely to do in both environments.
In my case, I create a lot of small utilities, often including file and text
processing. I also create educational software. In both those areas, a small test is
possible (in fact, I've done one) and Revolution comes out well ahead in both.
Another thing I need to create is small database-driven applications, fronting Oracle.
For now, the nod there would go to REALbasic. But I've held off because the trials
I've made haven't worked well. REALbasic has bugs/quirks that seem to hang on for a
long time. We'll see how the connectivity in Rev 1.1 stacks up.
