Sorry Simon, I didn't realize there two Simons in the team.
I'll give it a go in the next few days and let you guys know if I need some
help.

@Scott: thanks for the tip, I'll keep it in mind.
I included a link to the original JIRA ticket in the new one for reference.

Also, I run into two other strange issues when trying to build a RESTful
service, but I will confirm them and post them later in a separate thread.
