The simple database connection pool is just that simple. If it works for you then great! if not I would suggest the apache commons DBCP. It is robust enough for almost every application.

I have a standalone application not tied to any servlet containers or web application containers and I'm wondering if it's best to use SIMPLE, JDBC or DBCP for iBATIS.
