Oh , now there's an extremely kind human being ! : > My latest proj and I realised I was sick of sea scapes (one x big analytic > flat thing with glass and brushing and one "sea" is more or less in > place). I have some freeware stuff that I will post , as well . POV utilities are very un-user friendly , but POV people are so devoted they don't seem to mind that they have to go 'command-line' to get there ... Seems to make sense to me , considering how incredible POV is . It truly is an amazing tracer , and I think Juha & Vesa might even be tempted to jump in and concur , but of course it does not compare to Rsv5.2 . Whining on this list will not make it happen (not you Neil , or anyone in particular). Spending time trying this or that , then posting here , and then letting Realsoft know what kinds of barriers one is running up against may generate all kinds of amazing creation in that particular direction . That is probably the most overlooked part of Realsoft . The ability of a software to attempt to mold itself to the needs of it's userbase . Hollywood will more-often-than-not , spend , literally , millions of dol- lars writing 3D S/W for a particular film in order to get a certain feel or effect , when really , all they have to do is have a look at Realsoft and VSL & send an email in their direction concerning certain considerations . Bottom line is that you are on the bleeding edge , as Mark & Aidan . It may even mean that you will also cut the path that the rest of us RS users will perhaps follow from those points onward . Pretty damn exciting (in a landscape way) ... attacking a mesh with VSL ! Garry Curtis http://www.niagara.com/~studio
