Hi Frank ! : Nice words buddy . Your sentiment seems to take the edge off of some of the more demanding words offered here , recently , I think . Boris' RS Forum might be a better place to hash this stuff out , considering many advanced users are so vocal there at times . For me , as far as V6 is concerned , I just wish I could begin to tap the potential of V4.5 !!! We're constantly bombarded by people who love to mention that latest and greatest 3D program , but most do not realize that RS is capable of so much much more than we see here or in forums or IRC etc etc . RS is already as open as any GPL app . . . I know , sounds crazy but it's true . Blender is a revolution in a way , but the original revolution was with Real3D , way back when ... and what is going on now (blender) is merely a derivative of that initial initiative . Now we have a dozen or so pretenders to the throne , but one may ask "why pretend?" . Fact of the matter is the code is there , & if it's not there to your liking ... add it ! "Bullshit" you say ? Of course we're not all able to code , but many of us are , and many of us are slowly learning how to accomp- lish amazing things via a custom interface or incredible plugin . No easy answers though , for advanced wishes . Well , we could migrate to Blender and swim with that huge userbase and hope to entice others to accomplish elaborate goals ... or then again maybe just phone Vesa ! (kidding of course) It seems to be a strange situation these days ... us RS users keep asking for more and more and more , but never even begin to tap the potential that has been there for months and months . People say " I want this , and I want that ..." Sorry , but if I was Realsoft I might say "show me what you've got so far ..." Most of the time there is nothing to show , just a wishlist with no RS works to support the desire . It's like a contest now ... who can point out the most flaws , even if there is not a single intention to actually use tools clamored for !!! Maybe it's just me , but there seems to be a very negative force at the heart of this userbase , when just one year ago there was so much sharing going on , on this mailing list . happynewyear studio www.niagara.com/~studio www.studiodynamics.net
