Karl, you are 100% right.

I was just curious about the ability of realsoft to create material
landscape.

I do not need realsoft for terrain material, since I use VistaPro4.5.
Vista Pro export image map with all the material scope
(Water,Beach,Snow,Rock,Ground etc).

I just tough there was a fast solution like in Strata (a real terrain
material with sliders and checkboxes).

I am gonna test the materials you gave me. Thank you all.

Hi Jean-Sebastien, list,

I replied before but it probably didn't come through...
I was working on landscape stuff when I still had some time to play around with RS (it's gotten serious now: doing commercial work on hospital animations!), managed to make a pretty complicated rock layer material, based on Scope. If you're interested I'll dig up the most recent version and mail it. The idea is to use three different rock materials that are distributed in layers by another material, the Scope Controller. And this is combined with a slope-sensitive fifth material. It still looks too 'procedural' though, and it's slow... I think I showed some examples early this year.

BTW, thanks for all your nice tuts!
