Hope that the S/W that the above page will link you to "Webcam Timershot" (PowerToys for XP) recognizes your capture device (what kind of capture device are you using ?) http://www.webcamfirst.com/ is completely free and says it can use _ANY_ VFW capture device on your system , so maybe this is exactly what you might need . http://www.hilo.dk/pryme.php is free too , but not sure what it's capabilities are .
