Hi Gary,

A while back I did an extensive tute on skeletons and skinning in RS. Find it here:

http://www.netactivesolutions.net/na3d.htm

Scroll down to the "RS3D Tutorial - SKELETONS, BONES & JOINTS" - its broken into 4 parts.

Before you may say it, this is also available at www.realsoft.info in tutorials.

This may be useful as a start before walk cycles.

Cheers
Aidan

OK , I'll bite on this bait :

Thanks for the project files . Obviously Steph liked it .
I know I only stated my extremely simple point once and
that could never be enough ... so here goes again .

The reason I asked if you guys would maybe throw
us a little bone about what actual techniques you
are using was so that perhaps we could follow along
on these threads and learn a little bit as we go .

You post project file and anims . Steph posts
anims . You guys talk back and forth , so I
thought maybe you might take a little time to
keep the rest of us informed about what you are
(as I said previously) actually and exactly
doing that is working for you .

_ Are you using scripts ?
_ Is it easily done ?
_ Do you have any similiar RS manual examples ?
_ Are the RS manual examples defunct now ?
_ Are you breaking new ground ?
_ Is it a combination of concepts from other S/W's ?

Steph replied to my suggestion that you talk a little
about what you are doing with a very lengthy email that
talked and talked and said nothing technical-not much help.

If you guys are just interested in showing what you
have accomplished and having a little fun then by all
means tickle each other until the sun comes up .

I just thought I'd let you know that it is not very
easy to follow along on EXACTLY what it is you are
experimenting with .

Anyway , by all means - Confuse away !!!
