Hello Frank Br・ach. Thanks for your reply. I gave up using "SetMatrixRotate" method. Best regards, K-UDA ----- Original Message ----- From: Frank Brubach To: [email protected] Sent: Friday, January 12, 2007 7:56 PM Subject: Re: A method to arrange a curve on the surface.
Dear Kuda, sorry, but I haven't found the last two days any example with
the rotations of the SetMatrixRotate method. But there was no much time to
look after such solutions. Perhaps juha or another programming guy here in
the forum can help you? ;-)... I hope so! :-)
Set starting nurbscurves or points you can find the code in the nurbs
curves reference of realsoft, I can remember. perhaps you can get/set the
axis rotation of the curves and manipulate them, no idea. to set the
nurbscurves to "0" in the origin may be no problem. To put the object handle
to the point 0, there is perhaps a possibility with the "HPB" method (head,
pitching, banking) to change the axis of the xobjects ??? Try this way ;-)
have a good weekend, if I see any example for it, I will write you again.
best regards, frank bruebach, germany

Hello Frank Br・瘢雹ach.
Thanks for your reply.
I am creating a curve by the "SETPOINT" method now.
But, the object handle is left in the origin.
I wish to put the object handle to the point0 of the curve.
I created the curve in the origin first.
And I translated the curve by the "SetMatrixTranslate" method.
It succeeded.
But,I could not rotate the curve in a normal direction by the
"SetMatrixRotate" method.
Best regards,
K-UDA

Dear K-UDA, more details please about your problems ;-) what is
your origin aim with the nurbscurve arranging?
/ I have tried yesterday evening a short attempt to test it. I
have made selected some sds faces and push the curve button. The nurbs
curves have different lengths I see, doesn't know why? - Perhaps you can
start the nurbs curves from a "center of gravity" to make them equal. Sorry
about my short time, I have had a look at your script, I like it, it's a
lot of work. The idea behind this little tool may be very interesting.
I have tried a lot of similiar things before my nurbs curve helper
script. So the way to a hair tool might be not so far as I think ;-) but who
wants to create such interesting tools who has no time enough to build and
test it ?
I have made a little picture about my first test with a sds cube
and two nurbs curves areas. Perhaps I can help ;-) if I understand closer
the problem...
Frank Br・瘢雹ach :-)

Hello List.
I try to arrange the curve on the surface with JavaScript.
And I try to rotate it to the direction of the
surface/vertex normal.
However, it did not work well.
Do you know a method to achieve it?
Best regards,
K-UDA
