Hi Frank :

The V6 service pack will not fix video card driver
problems . SP1 _Could_ put back the "wireframe via
Window's GDi" Icon though (like we had in V4 &V5) .
This would help new users troubleshoot their card's
possible driver problems .

You are using OpenGL but you just don't know it .
V6 makes you use OpenGL (by default) all the time .

Yes , by all means , manually switch to 'Windows GDi'
and try again .

I'm sure this will solve your problems . Even the
latest Video Card drivers might not , with some man-
ufacturers . I swore off ATI because of bad drivers,
then off Nvidia .

It's a crap shoot . Best to ask users what kinds of
Cards they are running to find out which works best .

  I'm running Intel Q35 with on-board video , which
works fantastic with this quad-core and V6 . Still ,
I much prefer GDi wireframe mode for rendering .

good luck

garry
