a personal method....
RS >> ZBrush
Build the form in ZBrush and save Make PolyMesh 3D >>OBJ file.
Import OBJ in RS.
Attache a JPG file ( Property Window >> Col for example )
use Map2Obj.
ZBrush is excellent for sculpting forms , best of all !!

Does Zbrush output grey-scaled HDRi or OpenEXR for high
detailed displacement maps ? (the blurb on their home
page say's 32bit , but is it per channel-Don't think so)
