You've made my day, or at least the day that V7 will be released.
Right now I'm designing a number of patterns that will be cut by a cnc
(water)cutter. The cutter needs DXF or EPS input. How close is V7? Should I
wait?

To be able to compete with collegues who use Max/Viz and who have flawless
exchange of cad drawings between their 3d app and the cad program I often
find myself re-doing the 3D project in Autocad, just to give the client an
accurate representation of my work. The high res. screendump from Realsoft
is a nice backdrop in Autocad, but needless to say that making a cad drawing
from scratch is an awfull lot of extra work.
A reliable DXF export filter would be manna from heaven. No need to support
textures, text, lights etc, "just" object geometry.
Thanks for the feedback, Frank. Good news: ability to save 2D projections
(including measures and text items) into a desired 2d format is already
implemented (a new v7 feature).
