Would be cool if there were an easy way to add support for customchannels to
RangeZ..
I guess I could try to add some customchannels into RangeZ manually...as a
test..

Haha, sounds familiar!
Thank god imagination is not the only limiting factor in RS, there are
enough technical problems to deal with ;) for example, I got stuck in
this
project because I used Exterior:mycolor instead of Surface:mycolor.
It works as expected now, one single VSL material can produce a huge
variation in different objects combined with individual object attributes!
The 'mydistort' channel modifies the input of the Cell shader. This was
already present in the previous project but I hads forgotten all about it.
I think you are right about the RealRangeZ plugin. Try to change a
thousand
objects manually, that's a boring task... an essential script, I'll dig
that
up too.
