Christian,

The snapshot.jar you downloaded is not the newest version. You should
download the current version from

http://svn.magnolia-cms.com/svn/community/modules/magnolia-module-forum/trunk/

and build it.

Hello Sean,

We, I did, Magnolia doesn't start (Tomcat does, sort of)

Among others it reads

"java.lang.RuntimeException: info.magnolia.module.modul.reader.ModuleDependencyException: Module
Magnolia Forum Module <version 1.0.0-m1> is dependent on admin Interface version 3.1, but
Magnolia Admin Interface Module <version 3.5.8> is currently installed"

I guess, it's useless. I do not downgrade to 3.1.

Don't you think?

Regards and thanks to the Support

Christian.

got it running?

Hi Christian,

Generally with modules, they're distributed as JARs. You pop the jar into
your <webapp root>/WEB-INF/lib directory, and Magnolia should pick it up and
install it the next time you restart.

Give that a shot with the Forum JAR and see how it goes!

Best,
Sean

Thought, a forum would be nice within my portal, and I am ready to check
out the extension "Forum". So I downloaded the ZIP-file from here:
http://documentation.magnolia-cms.com/modules.html.

But now I look at it and don´t really now what to do with it.
(Documentation is a little superficial as ususal ;-))
