can i see the exception you got? ... It's hard to guess what the problem
is from just verbal description, the log files, the screenshots, export
of the content from the repo, templates ... anything that you can
provide will help to solve the issue. The less information you provide
the less likely it is that someone can help you.

if you expect to replace the content on update (e.g. your import handler
deletes the old copy and recreates the content on every run from
scratch, then the path would be appropriate since uuid of such newly
re-created content would be different. If you merely update and do not
delete/re-create content then the UUID is better since it is still valid
even if you choose to change the structure and move the content around.
