I'm using Magnolia Enterprise 4.2.3 and the enterprise commenting
module. In edit mode I can enable commenting on a page, but I'd like
commenting to be enabled automatically for certain templates. How would
one accomplish that?
Should I conclude from the lack of responses to this question that this
is just not possible?
You could extend SingletonParagraphTemplateModel or create your own
class, to automatically generate the comments paragraph, I used it
myself to generate a paragraph in the base area and it works fine, it
should work for you as well. Basically you just need to create the node
and assign the template name.
I have already extended the SingletonParagraphTemplateModel class before
to add support for auto-generated paragraphs in arbitrary extras columns
[0]. I was hoping there was a way to enable commenting automatically
without having to write any code, but I guess that's how we'll need to
solve this. I guess more users would like to have this option without
having to extend classes.
Thanks, Nils.
