And on the second thought, maybe also - does it happen when deleting the nodes
via adminCenral as well as when trying for example via groovy console or via
workflow command?

I know that stacktraces are usually useless in case of OOME, but in this case I
suspect there is either observation or some JR cache kicking in and exhausting
the memory and failing to allocate more which is why i want to see it.
Thanks.

Subject: [magnolia-user] OutOfMemoryException when deleting lots of nodes

Dear Magnolians

An other problem we are facing is the fact that we get an OutOfMemoryException
on a regular basis (speak: always) when deleting a tree with lots of nodes (a
few thousand). The funny thing is: Exporting the same nodes works fine. Why
would deleting nodes use more memory than exporting them? Does anyone know a
trick to get around this problem (other than deleting the nodes in smaller
portions)?

Thanks!
