Hi,

if you use Eclipse Web-Edition and run Tomcat out of Eclipse (Preferences > Servers > Runtime Environment), you have even "hot-code-replace" out of the box. So you just have to "save" and hit "F5" ;-) The server therefore needs to run in debug-Mode.

This works as long as you don't make structural changes to the code (new Classes, new Methods).

Cheers, Gerald

Dear magnolians,

We've started working with Magnolia and are excited about its
possibilities and are now digging into it to understand how it works.

Our working environment:
- we have a custom module integrated into Magnolia where we make our
code. We are using Eclipse as our IDE and Tomcat as the web-server.

Question:
- Every time we make a change in code we need to build the solution and
redeploy Magnolia to tomcat to be able to actual test it in Magnolia.
This is timeconsuming and I am wondering if there are any other way to
do things, can we hotdeploy or work on a running instance of Magnolia?
There are probably more ways to setup the environment, how do you work
with Magnolia and webserver?

Thanks for all help!

Regards
