Dear all,
As you might know, we at Magnolia have been pondering and tinkering
about a technology choice for the upcoming Magnolia 5; we are
currently in the process of (re-) making a decision. We originally
settled for GWT and Ext(GWT); for background on the reasons of this re-
decision, I'll redirect you to Philipp and Daniel's blog posts, as
well as our wiki and previous dev-list posts.
We've been prototyping, reading, watching, listening, and are now torn
between 3 different approaches: Plain GWT, Vaadin, or ExtJS+plain
Javascript. Each has its pros and cons, as well as "uncertainty"
points. We'd like to *finally* (sigh!) take a decision this week, and
get stuff done! While we all have our opinion, and would be able to
make a concerted and reasonable compromise, we *want* to hear from you
before we actually do this; we're interested to hear about your
various experiences, be it with Magnolia or other apps. Please take a
