I would vote for GWT. With the latest trends of GWT adoption as a front-end for web applications, it has a huge potential along with growing maturity. And with the recent Google's acquisition of Instantiations, the GWT tooling support may improve drastically.

We've been prototyping, reading, watching, listening, and are now torn between 3 different approaches: Plain GWT, Vaadin, or ExtJS+plain Javascript. Each has its pros and cons, as well as "uncertainty" points. We'd like to *finally* (sigh!) take a decision this week, and get stuff done! While we all have our opinion, and would be able to make a concerted and reasonable compromise, we *want* to hear from you before we actually do this; we're interested to hear about your various experiences, be it with Magnolia or other apps.
