[magnolia-user] Activating from author to author?

Hi, in one of our projects we think of using activation as a data transport mechanism between two author instances. So an author instance "author2" would be added as a subscriber to an author instance "author1" for a certain subtree of the website or data module. The author instances are attached to different public instances for two different websites. Does anybody per chance have experiences with this approach, in particular what problems this might cause?
