Well newBar perhaps but editBar? Where would I put it? When I use the [@cms.includeTemplate] tag that uses a paragraph template, and in that paragraph template I put my editBar.
When I use plain-old freemarker code ... since there's no paragraph involved, editBar doesn't work. If I simply put it after my freemarker code that loops through my collection, I get a 500 error, 'no dialog registered for name: editParagraph'. That makes sense as I said ... there's no paragraph. It still seems strange to me that you can't design data (via dialogs) and have different paragraphs associated with that dialog *and* have the editBar/newBar simply edit/add the DATA, independent of the paragraph. But I am relatively new to Magnolia ... perhaps in my ignorance I am missing the 'big picture' somehow. Anyway, thanks for the reply.
