Hi Gavan, Thanks for your reply. The Academy seems like an excellent resource and definitely a step in the right direction. In this case the problems I was having aren't actually with the steps described in the Academy, they're with the current maven module archetype which is missing the Vaadin dependency. The later problems I've been having seem to be a (possibly) a confused maven index on my machine, or something like that.
A problem I'm hitting now, which is perhaps more in your arena, is that if I want to add STK to my project I need to declare dependencies on particular versions of STK and other modules that it depends on. Dependencies between magnolia modules aren't handled by maven, and as far as I can tell there is no resource anywhere listing the version numbers of modules that are compatible with each other.
