Sure. If some other Magnolia forum users have more points to add, please do so!

- StackEchange forums save as drafts your questions & answers you are writing
them. see
http://meta.stackoverflow.com/questions/1177/allow-questions-to-be-saved-as-drafts-prior-to-posting
- Note that this very answer was "lost" when I tried to first post it. It took
me ten to fifteen minutes to write my answer & when I posted it I was prompted
a 500 page. Luckily I know this "bug?" & remembered to copy it in my clipboard
before hitting "post".

- Questions, Answers & Comments.
- Comments are here to help providing better interactions between users without
"poluting" the questions & answers themselves with discussions. Comments can
also however provide great insight on the solution provided, links to similar
subjects, & so on.

- vote questions, answers & comments up or down (similar to a digg)
- edit questions & answers (similar to a wiki)
- the 2 features mentioned above aim at filtering high-quality sources of
questions/answers

- Users can earn reputation points & "badges" (kind of gamification of the
traditional Q&A site or forum)
- Advanced moderation: ie. a user with a specific set of badges or who has more
than a given number of repitation points can be automatically granted some
moderation abilities
- edit other users' questions/answers if you have the required permissions
- review edits, questions flagged & so on.

- Tags: questions can be tagged to help users & search engines find things more
easily
- Notifications: you are notified when someone answers to your question, leave
a comment, up/down vote your question/answer, edit your question/answer, when
you earn a badge, & so on.
- Notifications from other StackEchange forums are all centralized. So if
you're logged on SO, you'll also see notifications from our potential SE's
Magnolia CMS.
- No Emails: you will receive no emails, your mailbox is probably full of
spams, right?

- "Similar questions" feature: when entering a question, related questions will
be dynamically prompted just above the edit area. It'll help you double check
you're not creating a duplicate and if not it may help you link to related
questions to help find an answer more quickly
- Advanced editing features: Stack Exchange engine uses Markdown for questions
and answers. Per the Markdown spec, you are allowed to freely intermix HTML and
Markdown tags. see
http://meta.stackoverflow.com/questions/1777/what-html-tags-are-allowed-on-stack-exchange-sites
- Editing "dynamic" preview: you see what your question will look like (below
the input field) as you it type in.
- Advanced search feature: use tags, your favorites, question score & so on,
see http://stackoverflow.com/help/searching

- log in: shared accross the
StackExchange websites.

The complete (long) FAQ for the StackExchange sites:

The list is long, StackExchange just got extremely good at Forums/FAQ websites.
So we could simply take advantage of the free service provided. Magnolia would
probably be more "out there" (visible) with such a forum, & the community would
definitely have more fun using it.
