Thanks Antti, I feel the "resources" page quite outdated..

To summarize: 

TEMPLATES: a fallback mechanism is in-place
1) filesystem: <contextPath>/templates. Mandatory for JSP. 
2) templates repository (only if enabled)
3) classpath (webapp or jars)

RESOURCES: different choices, no fallback mechanism
A) /docroot folder, configured via a CMS filter bypass
B) mgnl-resources folder, accessibile with <contextPath>/.resources in URL

About the last point (B) documentation says that /.resources is a way of 
telling Magnolia to load resources from classpath. I tested it and it does not 
work. It loads instead resources from /mgnl-resources folder of my Jar module.
Do you confirm the last point or may I am wrong?
