1/ if a valid subscriber is online the suggested scenarios are working
2/ if a not-valid subscriber is configured than the scenarios are failing
3/ if a subscriber is in-active than the scenarios are failing (I will check
this last one).

2/ I am also unable to delete it. No exception trace.
But, for the above 2 points: if I activate the page and than do the
actions it is working.

After some investigations it looks like the problem occurs only when
the subscribers are not correctly configured. Before creating
content, you should be sure that the subscribers are correct set and
only after that you start working with the content.
Check the settings under /Config/subscribers/SubscriberConfig/0001/
address and senderURL.

2. New pages or nodes cannot be deleted using delete item from
the right click menu.
3. After creating a new template following the quick start
guide, it did not appear in the template list after stopping
the magnoliaAuthor app using the tomcat manager and then
stopping and restarting tomat from the command line.
Am I missing something or is this a bug?

Yes Pascal,
I also found problems with 2.1.2, but these problems that I listed
were with the new 2.1.3 dated 2005-10-20. Did you try it with
firefox and linux? From the nature of the problem it could be how
they handle javascript.
At any rate I'm stuck.

I checked, the subscribers were set to the following by default:
Address: localhost:8081/magnoliaPublic
SenderURL: http://localhost:8080/magnoliaAuthor
I have only loaded magnoliaAuthor in my tomcat. Is that a problem?

Yep for sure. You don't have a valid subscriber, so this is the reason
why those actions are failing. Probably you should configure that the
subscriber is not active and try again (I expect this scenario to work).

Hi Alex,
I set the subscriber 0001 active to "false" and then stopped the
magnoliaAuthor in tomcat manager. Then shutdown and restarted omcat
from the command line.
Unfortunately all the problems I listed are still occuring.
What next?
