Hopefully somebody has a good solution that makes me feel stupid. I like
feeling stupid.
I have a problem where I'm trying to customize tomcat's error pages. To
do so I must alter the web.xml in the ROOT folder. The problem is that I
want to get a HierarchyManager from the magnoliaPublic context so I can
render menus.
Is there any way to get a HierarchyManager, and while we're at it
templates, that reside in the Public context while I'm in the ROOT
context?
Thanks,
Jay
Hi!
I am not able to fully understand your scenario. Have you configured
the Magnolia author instance on Tomcat root? Do you want to configure
an error page for the author instance or for the public instance? (In
the later case, you should configure it the the public application
web.xml).
Please let us know more details and hopefully we will be able to
figure out a solution.

I believe he wants to be able to get hold of a Content node to draw a
customized simpleNavigation menu in his error pages from a JSP in the
ROOT webapp that is set up by default in tomcat. This is logically / as
opposed to /magnoliaAuthor or /magnoliaPublic. Maybe I am a mind
reader.... or maybe we are on the same project and this would help me
out a lot too :)
