I've just installed magnolia 2.1.3 on a linux box with tomcat 5.5.9.
1. put the war files into webapps
2. startup tomcat (Memory 256MB)
3. bootstrap worked
4. shutdown tomcat
5. remove *.war files from webapps
6. startup tomcat
And now from the catalina.out:

Existing lock file at
/home/CME/l/lebtreu/tomcat/webapps/magnoliaPublic/repositories/userroles/.lock
deteteced. Repository was not shutdown properly.
This happens for all public repositories.
The .lock-Files exist with the following permissions:
-rw-r--r-- 1 lebtreu lebtreu 0 Nov 8 10:13 .lock
On startup tomcat first initialises magnoliaPublic, then magnoliaAutor
without warnings or errors. But after strarting up magnoliaAuthor
tomcat initialises the magnoliaPublic from new. And here I get the
above warnings.
On my WinBox, also tomcat 5.5.9 and magnolia 2.1.3 everything works
fine. On the same linuxBox I have running 2 other websites with
magnolia 2.1 and tomcat 5.5.9 and everything's fine.
