Oh, hey, brilliant! I set this up and it's working nearly perfectly. The
site editor still doesn't get anything in the "Template" dropdown for the
pages, but access is limited to exactly what I'd hoped for.

Thanks a ton for the pointer. This gives me some new hope that we'll be able
to press Magnolia into service here. :)
