If you find out anything please make an announcement or put in on the Wiki 
under the cache section. I found that I had the same problem on Windows and 
Linux. So I don't think it is an OS environmental issue. Both deployments were 
in JBoss. I will try to deploy to Tomcat to see if I get the same thing.

We had an instance of that here with one of the other devs who's testing out
Magnolia right now too. I haven't had time to run it down any further, but
the symptoms are exactly as you've described.
