Hello Richard. Unfortunately I do not have any experience with magnolia 2.1 on mysql, since I am using magnolia 3 rc2.
I will try Magnolia 3 RC3 snapshot in the near future.
For me the log snippet you sent looks like there are no configuration values stored in the DB, or they cannot be found...
That's what I thought. But I am pretty sure tables are created in MySQL, and it works very well without restart. BTW, I am not using the default bootstrap data, I am using real data from my application. All repository folders have been removed before tesing MySQL, also old data in MySQL have been cleared too. I created two databases, one for author, one for public.
On your initial startup, did you get any messages regarding a failed bootstrap?
No. Bootstrap is OK.
It could be that magnolia did not boostrap, because there is already a "repository folder" from your previous, non mysql setup.
I have removed all repository folders, logs, caches before testing MySQL.
You have to make sure that magnolia bootstraps again after you changed the configuration to MS SQL, because it needs to create tables and data for the configuration.
I can see tables and data in MySQL. I will try again, see if I can find out the problem. Cheers, Richard ([EMAIL PROTECTED])
Please follow the instructions in this wiki page, it helps describing how to force magnolia to bootstrap again: http://www.magnolia.info/wiki/Search.jsp?query=mysql *********************************************** IPH Informatik AG Herr Claudio Greuter Lagerhausstrasse 9 8400 Winterthur Tel: +41 (052) 233 94 72 Fax: +41 (052) 233 94 71 [EMAIL PROTECTED] ***********************************************
