Liam, your issue has nothing to do with the workflow. It's your mail template which is not digested by the mail template engine, please read the error message carefully and please follow Harold's advice, he's been very helpful. Try with a very simple mail pattern and then iteratively add bells and whistles to it. Read carefully the error message they do mean something and they are meant to be read by human beings.
