Yes, I think that's the one. I recently installed a whole lot of Adobe graphics handling and something might have come loose. I've run RS in Win7 before. I think you're right ... just something wrong with this install. It's not an issue since I have XP running on another box .... but I note even there the viewport raytrace is echoed. Crazy stuff.
