Have heard of some weird and wonderful virtual core set-ups in Windows and
Linux but as far as the data I have is concerned, and without going to a
dedicated multi-processor render farm set-up ... quad seems to be useful.
Some have hyper-threading giving another four processors (virtual
processors). The word I have is that a distributed rendering set-up such as
RS would be looking for actual cores only.

Still some way off this part of the task however.
