ADSL on the host? You are maybe (don't ask me why) being hit by the PMTU issue (man iptables and grep for --clamp-mss-to-pmtu will show you the solution). Then there is the fact that you may be required to use a HTTP proxy. Can you download any package via http on the UML? Emerge --sync is not a valid test for this, emerge-webrsync is, emerge about any package to be downloaded via http is (in fact it is failing to download files for ssmtp). > Who Could you do a help tell me how can I make the gentoo UML support rpm?
