Hi, I have a Centos 4.4 host (dual core) and I've built a Centos 4.4 root file system for UML.
The UML kernel is 2.6.19-rc5 from the UML website. The UML was started with 64MB RAM and 128MB swap space. It was idle, except it may have been running its daily cron tasks. Here's the crash info: CentOS release 4.4 (Final) Kernel 2.6.19-rc5 on an i686 uml0 login: EIP: 0073:[<009437a2>] CPU: 0 Not tainted ESP: 007b:bf662724 EFLAGS: 00000246 Not tainted EAX: ffffffda EBX: 00000003 ECX: 0804d038 EDX: 00000400 ESI: 0804b38b EDI: 00000400 EBP: bf662748 DS: 007b ES: 007b 0a7a3a58: [<0806dbe8>] show_regs+0xb4/0xb9 0a7a3a84: [<0805a50b>] segv+0x125/0x26a 0a7a3b28: [<0805a3e1>] segv_handler+0x55/0x5a 0a7a3b48: [<0806b076>] sig_handler_common_skas+0xc6/0xe1 0a7a3b70: [<08067b51>] sig_handler+0x35/0x45 0a7a3b88: [<08069e12>] hard_handler+0x12/0x18 0a7a3b98: [<00983898>] 0x983898 0a7a3e78: [<0806ba17>] uml_map_start+0x32/0xf8 0a7a3e9c: [<080bc407>] seq_read+0xca/0x24a 0a7a3ed0: [<080a6b8b>] vfs_read+0x9c/0x146 0a7a3efc: [<080a6eba>] sys_read+0x3a/0x61 0a7a3f28: [<0805b3f2>] handle_syscall+0x86/0xa0 0a7a3f74: [<0806a6a2>] handle_trap+0xd8/0xe1 0a7a3f90: [<0806aa92>] userspace+0x123/0x173 0a7a3fdc: [<0805b131>] fork_handler+0x74/0x7c 0a7a3ffc: [<a55a5a5a>] 0xa55a5a5a Kernel panic - not syncing: Kernel mode fault at addr 0x170fc2cd, ip 0x9437a2 Any ideas? -- Best regards, Russell mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
