Olaf, Debian can be added, if desired, considering how easy the Docker based build now is. Will you be willing to champion it including maintenance of Docker image, etc.?

As the result, make build has some rudimentary functionality for this and gradle doesn't at all. I hear more and more request for patching support, so perhaps we need to revisit the original concept and invest some time into making this experience better?
