Let me start with an Apology, I thought I've already posted my reasons for comparisons. It seems I missed it, Sorry for that. Here are the things I need to consider 1. I may not have a "true" schema available to me(no request/response schema but a global schema), but a sample xml will be provided. For response,its a design time understanding to know it's a object in retun or a list of objects, so one can create mapping . 2. Need is purely marshal/unmarshal objects. 3. There is no "pure" web-service I am dealing with. 4. The repsonse payload will not be huge. 5. There might be a need of configuration for parsers. 6. For Jdbc stuff hibernate will be used.
