I call bullshit. As the PMC we are happily bound to the rules of the Apache Software Foundation, but if we as individuals choose to organise ourselves around Damien as the BDFL then that is our choice to do so. If you want to pull in another direction that is fine, and healthy. Call for changes on the mailing list, or become a committer and push through your own enhancements.
