Hi Andries! Thanks so much for the response.
Yes, I can use http://<IP_ADDRESS>:8047. I am using VirtualBox, and the sandbox version I am using is 4.0.1 I am using the NAT adapter. I'll read that blog post for more clues, but I really appreciate your help and insight. Hi Jen, Can you access the drillbit when you use a browser and connect to http://<IP_ADDRESS>:8047? Are you sing Virtualbox or VMware for the SandBox VM? Also did you use NAT or bridge adapter for the network setting with the Sandbox? BTW: Which sandbox version are you using? Also see this blog post for more info on the Sandbox networking and configuration, may provide some background. https://www.mapr.com/blog/how-configure-network-mapr-sandbox-hadoop-whiteboardwalkthrough#.VMLHuGTF-nA -Andries On Jan 23, 2015, at 1:59 PM, Young, Jennifer M. <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi, > > I can't seem to log into the Drill sandbox as root (and so I can't start > sqlline). > > I have made sure to check my hosts file, and added the DNS entry.
