Hello, sorry to hear you are having troubles getting started with Geronimo.  I assume that you have installed the 1.0 binary release available from http://geronimo.apache.org/downloads.html, is that correct?   If so then I recommend looking at the quick start documentation available at http://geronimo.apache.org/documentation.html .  If you could walk through the steps in a quick start guide and describe what you see if/when you start having problems (e.g. a stack trace in the command window or logs) then I think we can help out.
