I am not Hans or Adam, so I cannot say what is official. In my mind, however, this is not a reasonable long term solution, but it's fine for now. The long term fix involves Gradle being much more deliberate about jars and versions and isolating build scripts from Gradle's internal dependencies. Whether this is done by using OSGI or some lighter weight classloader stuff might still be debated. That Gradle needs such separation, however, it not.
