I'm not familiar with those plugins, but my guess is that they're just using the IP address information provided to XenServer by the guest tools and then establishing a connection based on the option you choose (RDP, SSH, etc.). It would be interesting to write a Guacamole extension that uses the XenServer API to pull a list of VMs and their IP addresses, and create connections based on that information. Might have to add it to my list of things to do :-). And, why stop at XenServer - might as well write one for VMware and oVirt/RHEV, too! -Nick
