One of my initial curiosities would be - does this only happen when you
connect from 3G/4G -> Shared Connections, or if you actually start a new
(unshared) connection from 3G/4G, does it behave the same way?

So, to sum up:
- 4G Provider 1 = 1-2 minute disconnect
- 4G Provider 2 = Stable, one hour or more with no disconnect
- WiFi = Stable, one hour or more with no disconnect
- 3G Provider 1 = 1-2 minute disconnect

In the case of the above, is there any relationship between the two
different 4G providers? Same carrier/network, or different? How about the
3G provider?

Unless those components exist on the 3G/4G provider, right? I assume you're
not running your own 4G network?

The fact that you only experience it on the 3G/4G network suggests
something network-related, but that's just my gut feeling.
