If you daemonize vncserver, will it not come back even if it is disconnected?

I have an annoying issue with my guacamole / tightvnc setup. I can connect to
my system only once. If the connection dies for whatever reason (usually
hibernation of system running the browser client), I cannot reconnect to the
VNC connection w/o restarting vncserver.
I can connect to guac, but when I try to resume the VNC connection I see an
error. When I check syslog on the server, I see the following:
"List of security types is ZERO, expecting an error to follow"
I have to restart vncserver to reconnect.
Is that a guac issue or rather a tightvnc one? Any ideas? Is there any more
