Not Guacamole-related, but I have absolutely seen stale NFS mounts bog down
Linux networking to uselessness.

Subject: SSH session to remote server hanging due to stale NFS file handle

I've run into an issue where I am able to start an SSH connection to a remote
Linux server, but was unable to make any keyboard inputs to the server. It
behaved as if the connection was hung. I checked the messages/secure logs and
verified that the connection request using authorized key pair were
authenticated and allowed. Additionally, I was still able to log into the
server via SSH from terminal. In the end, I was able to fix the issue after
removing a mounted stale NFS. I was wondering if anyone has seen this behavior
before or have some sort of explanation for this.

Thanks,
Samuel
