Please forgive me as I am new to the Hadoop world and am working to understand it before we do a large scale deployment. I currently have 3 test servers up and running Hadoop 0.20.2 clustered together with Map reduce running and HDFS. I am looking to setup HBASE on these 3 servers as well to get comfortable with the whole setup process and my question is do I need to setup Zookeeper first or can I just setup HBASE and then addon Zookeeper. Or am I missunderstanding HBASE and do not require Zookeeper? Thanks in advance and if anyone has a good site to reference for Cluster setups of HBASE that would be appreciated.
