Not every company is trying to solve the same problem so that in using either beast, their experiences will vary. Can't we just all get along? :-) Both HBase and Cassandra are tools. While similar they have a different fit within the portfolio of options. Its like being on a golf course and trying to decide if you should use a 7 iron or an 8 iron ... -Mike
